Interesting. I put a 2 speed transfer in my 3/4 ton WC53. I used WC63 transfer case mounts which bolted right up to the second set of holes in the frame. The problem was that the e brake rod wouldn’t fit so I built tabs to lower the transfer case to allow clearance as it’s floor is not cut for the e brake drum.
Did the WC63 come with the e brake on the transmission or the transfer case? I thought it was on the transfer case as it used the yoke that bolted to the e brake drum. If so, then it’s floor must have been cut like the PW to allow clearance for the e brake drum.
I suspect that only the WC trucks with a single speed transfer case had the e brake on the back of the transmission. I don’t believe that the PW came with the brake on the transmission.
