While it is surely possible to make your own, the time involved in making a complete harness is the main reason they are so expensive. I bought mine from VWM three years ago. Very happy I did. The installation instructions were second to none and the quality was excellent. My WC-12 says thank you over and over again. LOL. Lights are bright and no worries about electrical fires.
