I知 looking for some guidance from the experts here that know way more about power wagons then I ever will. A couple years ago I picked up a 61 townie at an auction. I thought it was awesome and had dreams of getting it back on the road. The body has plenty of rust and old bondo that I started to sand off. Rear wood floor had some rot so I cut that out and got some replacement seats from my old suburban. Floor boards are pretty rusty and will need to get replaced to. Original slant 6 turns over but has no compression. I知 sure the purists will say to keep it all stock and rebuild it but it seems like most people that have seen it say to swap it out with a bigger motor with more power or just buy a more modern dodge frame and put the townie body on it.

I知 stuck with what to do with it. I知 no mechanical expert and never seem to have time to work on it. My wife seems to think it will be in the pole barn forever and that I should just sell it.

Just looking for opinions on what is best for this old classic and if I知 gonna get it back on the road what would be a cost estimate. The hood has been sanded down to the base metal and I壇 like to sand it all down and just clear coat the whole thing.

Thanks
