Transfer case rear driveshaft yoke seal

My transfer case on my 52 ffpw is leaking gear oil at the yoke for the rear drive shaft. I purchased a seal from VPW but its awfully thin maybe 3/8 thick whereas the original is about half inch thick (wide). will this new one work or is there another one I need?
