Cab mounts changed in mid 1950 model year. I know this because I had a 50 with wood blocks and a 50 with rubber mounts. The front frame brackets on the early 50 sat below the top of the frame. The front brackets on the late 50 and up sit flush with the frame. The early trucks take a wood block on the front left and right. Left gets the short stout fixed anchor bolt so the cab stays put relative to the steering column. Right front gets the long bolt with spring. Each gets a 1/4"-5/16" fiber spacer between the frame and the wood block. Rears only get the fiber spacer and the two mid-length bolts and springs. Late style gets rubber spacers at each corner above and below and no springs.

If you put the wood on the later brackets the front of cab will sit too high. If you put the rubber on the early brackets the front of the cab will sit too low. Of course, rubber in rear will be too high in rear.

What I didn't know until this week was that the cab floors changed in mid fifty also. Jens Butler told me. I think the floor is reinforced more. I was trying to mount an early cab on a late frame with rubber mounts. I removed a heavy washer and it seems about right. Won't know for sure until I mount the running boards.
