At one time, when I had some pretty ratty parts trucks, I thought about doing something similar but outdoors at the end of my drive. I had an idea to use the bumper, grill, cowl, full front fenders, full hood, and some old tires and wheels. Bury the back side so that about a third of the tires and wheels were visible above ground so it looked like the rest of the truck was buried and trying to claw its way out of the ground. And, mount my mailbox to it.
