We had a problem with a prior front loader, where the water would not drain completely out, leaving just a little bit. THis, coupled with the humidity in our area would lead to mold formation on the inner part of the front door down low.
Wifey Diane not happy.
So we changed to a top loader.

My son has a LG front loader washer, and last year it developed a problem where it likes to burn out the rear tub bearing on a regular basis. Because of the labor cost involved, he learned to do the job himself. He has been using genuine LG bearings, but they don't last more than 3-4 months.
I asked him if he was overloading the washer and he said no.
I wonder if their quality control is lacking as to their parts stream.
