I made it from aluminum plate.
The bezel of the tach is deeper than that of the speedometer, so I oversized the hole the dash so the whole tach would sit deeper in the dash, and the front edge would project roughly the same as the speedometer. Then I made the aluminum bezel and glued it to the tach bezel. After paint I screwed the whole thing to the dash. Or something like that.
