Thanks for the feedback! I’m sending some pictures of the distributor it looks as though it’s original to the truck, army issue. There are 4-6 flat head screws on the cap, and a large brass nut. I’m assuming based on your write I’d have to first remove all of the wires to the distributor, labeling them before pulling them off. Then I’d remove the flat head screws to take the cover off. I’m told by the owner of Midwest Military that the gap setting is .020.
What specifically would I need to do to pull the distributor out so that I can do this on a bench?
