I’ve gone through lots of tape measures in my day but the best tape measure I’ve ever used for construction is a Dewalt Fat Max. I’m not a Dewalt man...in fact the only other Dewalt tool I like is they make great portable table saws but after using a Fat Max tape...I can’t use any other one. If you’re on a construction site you’re not going to see many guys that don’t have one on their belt. I’m guessing they have a patent on the wider tapes.
