Re-arching to the original arch specs does not result in a long lasting solution; the metal in the springs has weakened.

I had my front springs re-arched about ten years ago. At that time my “spring man” said this would only “hold” them if another leaf was added. All this was done.

About three years ago I started to see a “list” when looking at the truck from the rear, caused by the front right spring flattening out again.

When the front springs are “right”, the shackles will be almost vertical. Tired, flattened springs have the shackle at a definite angle.

In the next few years I will be replacing the front springs to correct this issue more permanently.

Stephen Fowler in CA has also been selling springs for several years. I talked to him about this a few years but did not order at that time because I got involved in other matters.
