if your restoration is going as far as looking for a stock lead top battery, there are faux cases that look old and fit and optima battery inside. I've always used the optima batteries on my old iron as they do not leak. i moved the battery on my command car from the right side passenger running board and used a wc 3/4 ton / ffpw battery tray on the left frame rail. shorter battery wire runs are always better.
