Hi Bob, were you using a pressure bleeder or a vacuum bleeder? I had one of the Mity-vac vacuum bleeders years ago. All I could do with that was pull bubbles in around the hose where it fit over the bleed screw, completely frustrating and I tossed it in the trash can.
I can do it alone, using a hose run into a container of brake fluid. Push the pedal, air is expelled under the surface and bubbles up, release the pedal and you draw fluid up, not air.
