Bill Belknap continued his lifelong relationship with the Grand Canyon long after his Power Wagon photographed there in 1954. In 1969, on the Centennial of John Wesley Powell's exploratory trip down the Grand Canyon, Bill Belknap published his Grand Canyon River Guide.
Last July, on the Centennial of Grand Canyon becoming a National Park in 1919, our group of 26 departed from Lee's Ferry for a 5 day raft trip down the Grand Canyon. Our guide book was the 50th Edition of Belknap's Waterproof Grand Canyon River Guide still published by his family.
