About 50 years ago a guy I knew had a Willys truck just like that. Every day he crossed a creek that passed over his road, about 12" deep. One big rain storm he tried to cross it and the engine stalled. He opened the door to get out and the water rushed into the cab, rolled it over, and he drowned in the cab.
One simple mistake, and the guy was gone.
