Keith,

I was actually going to use Stainless Steel as i am in the Northeast rather than coated steel lines as they just dont last. I did some research and found that Copper-Nickle (C70600) (burst = 19,000 psi) has a comparable burst pressure to steel lines (burst = 19500 psi) and is DOT listed for hydraulic/brake lines. The Copper-Nickle has the added benefit of being so much easier to work with compared to steel. Also, I found that Volvo did a case study in the early 70's and after 12 years of service the copper-nickle was the most reliable. I guess the study was so convincing that Rolls Royce, Lotus, Aston Martin, Porsche, and Audi moved to it. I also found that the military and fire fighting trucks use it but I have not had a chance to vet that. I figured to give it a try. Hopefully it will last and preform as expected.
