Is there a big difference in cost of 6V verses 12V batteries? I buy 6V batteries at the local farm store and they have been known to last 8 years. I think I pay about the same for either.
There will be some cost to converting - battery, bulbs, fuel sender, voltage drops, coil, resistor, generator or alternator, regulator. How long will it take to recoup your investment?
