You may not need all new parts, but this is what I replaced along with gears and what usually needs replacing:

- Main drive gear - $150
- Main shaft - $140
- Cluster gear - $300
- Cluster gear shaft - $130
- Reverse gear - $75 If you have the small spur gear you can replace the bushing in the gear, you can't with the larger spur gear tranny.
- Reverse gear shaft $40
- Complete NOS gear shift lever housing - $300

Parts for the big spur gear aren't as available as the smaller spur gear (1946 - early 1951) so it wouldn't be as expensive.

I collected the parts over several years so it didn't empty my pocket book all at once. When you consider .002 is the wear limit on these parts, most of the trannies in our trucks have seen better days.
