Hold off getting one. I checked the MU and MU-2 parts list and both winches use the MU-135 cable drum.

1/2 Ton listed as MU-135
3/4 Ton listed as MU2-135
46-56 PW listed as MU-135
VPW listing listed as MU-235, all the same drum I believe.

Check your parts book to see if you're are missing the one of the two rings that go on each side of the clutch on the drum shaft, that could be the issue.
