That includes military vehicles like the WC-62/63.

These are basically the records of the truck being built. It tells you the original engine number and details like options on the civilian trucks.

The cards available actually stretch into 1955 C3, but FCA doesn't acknowledge that so if ordering a 1955 claim it is a 1954 or they might not look.

As for the service history of a military truck, that would be only available from the government. The last time I asked every agency told me those records were destroyed on a rolling basis. So for example, everything from 7 years ago in 2013 would be destroyed this year in 2020. So to the best of my knowledge there are no records to look up where a truck served.

Some people have found sales sheets listing registration (hood) numbers from when trucks were originally sold as surplus. You might be able to find your truck on those lists if you have the registration number, but it is unlikely.
I've heard of people finding a period photograph of their trucks based on the registration number painted on the hood. That would definitely help establish where the truck was at that time.

The primary way people figure out where their truck was is to find markings on the bumpers or the body. Unfortunately that might just be the last place the truck served and it might not reflect its overall operational history.

If you want to order a build card send an email to the address below. To my knowledge the office is closed right now, but they'll help you out once they reopen. Truck build cards are now free for military trucks for sure and possibly all trucks, I haven't verified that detail.
