My oldest son Wayne has been working on a Jeep project for about 5 years maybe longer. 73 CJ-5 Hes installing a 4 speed and his own made transfer case. We never got into body work at all. But the original floor will not fit the new trans. But he wants to keep it as close to the original as possible. So he is making it on his own. We have no metal tools. So he has self taught himself. It has been a slow go. But today he has gone over the hump. Bending , cutting sheet metal. He has a bunch of set backs. He wants it to look factory. All i can do it encourage him and tell him hes doing a good job, He has become a very good welder. I also help with some money were needed. Told him today if he thinks he needs a tig welder than the shop needs one. Its a great moment when your son can do more than you did. Enjoy be safe and stay healthy. On the other hand my middle son Kyle wants to go fishing every Saturday. So thats fun to. Machs Gute
