I was reading up on it, looks like the gold seal engines were in the Imperials from the late 1930s and early 1940s. But they only seem to show straight eights for those cars?
This head is a six, so maybe a Chrysler model then? Royal perhaps? There is no hump in front of the head either for water bypass.
