I Saw a news clip about a doctor that invented his own respirator with a couple of friends. You know those squeeze balloon things you see on tv where someone squeezes them with their hands to force air into someones lungs? Well, apparently they are in ample supply, but require someone to sit there and squeeze them, taking a nurse or doctor off line.
So, this guy and his buddies rigged up a motor and a cam to squeeze the thing automatically. Bingo, gobs of existing respirators can be brought online by adding a simple motor kit.
Just think if Dodge Boys and his crew were paid to crank out these kits instead of being laid off?
Anyway, I salute the doctor that came up with a simple solution to a huge problem. I’ll bet he has a Power Wagon in his driveway.
