A 57 should have the NP420 whose PTO would have bevel gears. You will probably need to give DC the number off the tranny, the early one has 126 in the cast number on the side and the up-to tranny has 711 (either starts with or ends, cant remember) The numbers are not in the same place on the 2 trannys so just start scraping the crud off until you find them!
