Norm's right, Powder Coating likely lasts longest & looks best, but if you want to save a few$$, I'll give you a trick!
Get your frame either dipped or preferably bead blasted to create a profile....you don't want the frame glass smooth. Then head to your nearest Marine coating source & buy a gallon of Marine Epoxy in black. It's never gloss but semi-gloss. It will cost roughly $30/gallon Canadian...probably $7/gal US!
If you apply this coating properly & it ever needs painting again, I'll personally drive my Power wagon down from Canada, strip & repaint your parts for free!
I manage a shipyard & these coatings are good for 6 years in salt water. I doubt you'll be subjecting your truck to the same punishment!
Can be brushed or sprayed.
