I wanted to get the tallest tire I could to ease the r.p.m.s on the engine.
so although the Michelin 11X 16 Xls aren't as expensive as I had feared, they appear to be out of range for now. Shame, too because they'd probably be the last tires I ever need to buy.
So what other options in a TALL tire are there for a 16" combat rim? Something with a greater O.D. than 35" (the original size of the NDT's) Radials preferred but I'll listen to other suggestions.
Super Swampers? Buckshot Mudders? etc.?
My truck will see VERY little, if any off road use, and that of the tamest sort. I am mainly concerned with pavement, rain and snow.
I understand a tire listed like 315/75R-16 but what does a 35-12.5-16 mean? Is that a 35" O.D. tire with a 12.5 wide tread for 16: rims?
