The "hogster" referred to in the photo was the vehicle nicknamed "Sugga" ("piglet" in Swedish). the Sugga was/is a command coar with 4 doors, a hard top, Dodge inspired axles, drivetrain and even flathead 6, with a 2 speed transfer case. The body design was inspired by a late 30s/WW2 era Volvo taxi cab. It's a very competent military type 4X4 vehicle. I'd love to have one with a blown motor and drop in a Cummins 4BT....
They come standard with air or vacuum locking diffs. That tells you something about what they were designed for. I thinks there are a handful in N. America and a few more in Europe and of course Scandinavia.
