Yes I'm with Paul. It is so important to buy a truck with a perfect body & almost not even an issue of its mechanical condition. A rusty truck cannot ever be made perfect...only to look perfect. To accomplish this will either cost more than to rebuild every drive component, or take you many many hours of working for free.
I have a 46 WDX cab that has dents in the back & top of the roof & a small amount of rust in the floor. I took it to a local fabricator that does fabulous work & told him I want it ready to paint, no filler....he wanted $3000! You get the drift.
