Do M37s & Civilian FlatFenders use the same shocks?

I am looking to replace the front shocks on my B-4 and add rear ones, and am curious if the M37s use the same shocks? Are the front shocks the same as the rear? I went to a NAPA parts store and the counter "dude" gave me a Monroe shock manual and said come back when you get the measurements correct according to the manual, then he could help me. Now they're making me work to spend my money! It's a little difficult to measure the rear shocks when you don't have any :) Thanks!
