I have done a good many cammo Paint jobs! Oh it is so much fun, and really makes a truck look so cool and intimidating, expecially the Yuppie crowd! Well anyhow, when I first started, I would paint the truck either OD Green, Black or White, depending on the cammo type and personal preferance for background color. Then for what I would use to base my patterns on, Id get a outdoor hunting catalog and get my basic pattern arrangement from it. But then, After a while, I decided I wanted a more uniform pattern per se, so then I started cutting various shapes from cardboard and using That as a template. That is pretty much how I still do it, BUT just recently I bought a US Military Cammo and marking manual over e-pay, and will start using that the next time. There are many diffrent methods and such. It all depends on what you want or what you are lookin for. If you want Mil-spec, stick with the military marking manual, BUT bear in mind that older cammo is the 4 color variety while newer (still in use) is 3 color. I will someday do a truck up in snow cammo and also plan to do a truck in catail swamp type cammo.

Good luck!
