A flatfender as stated is, the original PW.
It was the longest production bodystyle vehicle ever produced in the USA, from 1946-1968 for US domestic sales and till 1971 for exports. This series industrial grade truck was the PW original, 1946-1971. While Dodge, for whatever reason decided to give the upcoming and future bodystyle 4x4 trucks the same PW designation, the 1946WDX-1971WM300 flatfendered PW was and is considered by many, to be the original and only true PW. Many accept the designation PW as referring to all Dodge 4x4 vehicles for obvious reasons.
