I prefer the electrics.
Wipers are a safety matter. It would be great if the vacuum motor would work under all conditions and engine loads but many vacuum motors quit working when the throttle is wide open or when the engine is working hard.
If you can feel good about modifying your PW then I would encourage you to make the change. A change over to an electric motor means you can use varible speeds and wiper delay improvements. The truck becomes a bit safer to drive in the rain, snow and fog.
Anything you can do to improve the operating safety of the truck should be considered an improvement.
