I am suspecting the timing being out a bit, but tgere is no sence in playing with it until I have the electronic ignition installed. I bought it last Thursday, they assured me delivery by Saturday, and here it is today Tuesday, and still no Pertronix!
So when it finally arrives, I'll get it installed, time and tune everything, and see how she goes. Currently, the engine has decent vacuum, and has no lifter noises at all.
I think you've answered my question! There really isn't anything else that can be done with the carb (no jet kits, etc.), so I'll get her to work as well as possible!
...at least until I find a 4V intake for her!!! ;-)
