No, the early M37 trans was not used in the FFPW. You would need the following Army Technical Manual for that transmission:
TM9-2520-232-35 (FIELD AND DEPOT MAINT TRANSMISSION M56, M37, M43, M201), issued 7/1959
VPW or MWM may have copies for sale.
