The Rockwell/Spicer front axles on the W500 trucks are model FDS-750. I have not been able to verify the model numbers of other trucks but they appear similar to those used on several military vehicles. The early GMC CCKW 2.5 ton 6x6 trucks used a very similar axle as did the WW II half-tracks. A friend had a half-track years ago and I could not find any identification information to verify it, but dimensionally it was identical to my W500 and had the same ratio.
