Hi Dave,
Yes two cycle oil is far better than current ATF.
And as you mentioned is designed to mix and burn.

Older ATF was fine, excellent lubrication, and cleaning properties.
But the newer ATF has so many friction enhancers to help clutches grip, that it
Is harmful to the system.

Many studies and documents supporting this.
Google it.

Also many of the additives were tested and
Reported.
ATF was very low and not recommended.
Two cycle was up close to the top,
but offered no anti-gelling help naturally.

Like Power Service which I use and like was high on Anti-gelling but Lubricity was lower than I would have liked compared to Stanadyne which I also use.

Your truck has served you well, keep doing what your doing.
