Feel for you. I think you caught it in time. I would keep checking for sludge for a while longer.

Last week I gassed up my chainsaw. Absentmindedly I poured the gas tank 3/4 full of bar oil. Luckily it was an easy fix, turn the saw upside down and come back 15 minutes later when most of the oil dripped out.
