I will build mounts like I have in the past. It always seemed to be a bad idea to use the nylon straps. However, sometimes you need positive reinforcement to do things right. I just kept looking at them and thinking "maybe this isn't as bad as it looks."

I have a bit of double sided weather stripping I will put between the bracket and the rad. It sounds like there are not huge cooling issues with these motors. I haven't purchased the thermostat yet. I was thinking of fan on at 190 and off at 180 if I can find it.
