I've got an M37 with a hybrid 12/24V system which I will be switching to all 24V. It currently has a 12V Quardratech Q9000 winch connected to one of the two 12V batteries. I'm not crazy about that kind of set up. I'm considering replacing it with a 24V electric winch.
Is a 9000# size a good match for an M37, or should I be taking this opportunity to switch sizes as well?
So far, about all I've found in 24V is the Warn Series 9 DC Industrial Winch, 24V, 9,000 lb (model 30284). It sells for about $1725, without fairlead, wire rope, or tensioner.
I'm not sure if putting a stock PTO winch on there is in the near-term cards for me at this point. Willing to consider options, however.
