the hard to find parts myth is just that. a myth. many parts are shared with later 318s. I just rebuilt a poly a year ago and no issues and nothing costs extra because its a poly.
they are all torque as soon as you let the clutch out all the way to the top end. amazing set up. Also the blocks are way more heavy duty that the later LA318s. you can bore a poly 318 .125" over!
