It could be. In this issue, the plans here are very electronic oriented. A lot circuit board making and there is a stepper motor control that has to be made.
Thing is, you can buy a lot of that stuff off the shelf. I just purchased a 150mm z axis slide with a NEMA 42 stepper motor attached. There that's most of the head construction right there!
But yes, I'd like to see the Lindsay book. Maybe using an arc welder would be more powerful?
