Unsalable? Not quite true Marty. I know a guy from Toronto ON. that bought a big old snub nose lime green unit from a firetruck builder / dealer in Albany NY. You are almost right, since they can not hardly give them away they sold the old truck to him for One USA dollar.
He has an old farm getaway place about 100 miles N/E of Toronto, so he drove the truck from Albany Ny. up Hwy #81 through the Ivy Lea, Thousand Island border crossing entry point to Ontario.
At the border they asked him what he paid for the truck. He says they will never believe me if I say One $ so I told them $1000. Apparently he got himself in more Doo - Doo than if he had told them the truth. I can't remember whether they impounded the truck or let him through, but maybe they were just happy to get the thing off there records in the USA. JJB.
