You mean No spark at the plugs?
Or Dead battery?
If no spark at plugs, check for voltage at the coil from Ign. switch.
If good, check point gap and for oxidation.
Also check Coil high voltage lead at cap and coil for oxidation.
Voltage Reg. has nothing to do with Ign. spark, other than keep the Battery Charged.
