That the gage reads back words, now that you
Changed to 12v Neg. ground tells me the 6volt battery was in wrong to start with.
You mentioned 49 with 6v neg. ground in your earlier post.
These 6volt trucks were all POS. Ground along with Most All vehicles of the period.
