Aaron, I would imagine that a person could order the wider axle on a cab/chassis if perhaps they wanted a full 8' wide bed, such as a flatbed or dump box. Wonder what was typically on those big motor homes built on the 300 chassis?
A local friend with 6 W300 utes, most of them DRW has been a main source for this info. (along with mine)
Still curious if the 9' DRW ute was offered after 68?
