I would get both wiring diagrams and make whatever changes if any are needed. is the 60 negative ground?
dont forget the fuel gauge and temp and oil senders will need reducers or changed to the 12 volt set up from the 60. i think the 60 uses a single external voltage reducer for fuel and temp
