When it is all said and done I think I will have a rebuilt front axle!! For an 08 it sure is rusty on the axle parts. I replaced the left bearing because the sensor went bad, then I didn't realize new high tech axles have a spacer on them that helps align them in the seal. So when I reinstalled on of the spacer ended up in the axle seal so big leak. When I started tear down for new axle seals I found play in the ball joints that I didn't realize until I removed the tie rod. While removing the tie rod the tie rod end turned in the knuckle. I eventually had to cut the tie rod end to remove it, before realizing that the right tie rod end is compressed into the tie rod and not removable. So now I need a complete replacement tie rod also. Then while removing the passenger bearing I damaged the seal so new passenger bearing. Lastly I still haven't figured out how to remove the steering damper bolt that has bound itself to the damper bushing sleeve. The bolt turns but the bushing turns with it in the damper. Back side of the bolt is against axle tube so no access. I guess I will weld something to the head and use a slide hammer. Honestly I have had less trouble on old iron that has been sitting in a field than a 10 year old jeep. The jeep had been apart by the dealer for warranty only about 5-6 years ago.

I am debating the additional caster as you mentioned. It used to be fine up until around Christmas then something changed.
