I keep seeing articles saying no seatbelts but I am not sure the writers aren't confusing lap belts with nothing. I thought cars were required to have lap belts by 1970? It may not have had any and I can see liability with that, but I am also not sure about the reporting. I have seen some news stories where it was painful how wrong they had some info. Just last week was an article on a truck tipping and spilling 40 tons of chocolate. I haven't done a lot of shipping but I am pretty sure a truck can't haul 40 tons of anything legally.

I don't think requiring oem seatbelts is out of line but beyond that is tricky. I saw one article claiming it should have had airbags? Just what we want is an classic car shop installing explosives in the dashboard.
