I wound up calling a supplier I have worked with for axle parts in the past and he didn't recommend the knurled fittings. As I suspected once you use the knurled ball joints you can't go back to factory style. They are really a "problem solver" and my ball joints are worn out but seem to be tight in the knuckle. He talked me into Dana Spicer parts. He said that the earlier oem got a bad rap but that later/replacement parts were much better, also they do have grease fittings unlike the originals. I had trouble finding the Moog joints locally for some reason could only find the lower.

I am on the fence on shock replacement, this is a four door and it really sits low. I am debating a small maybe 2" lift just to avoid scraping the skid plates on everything. Makes sense to replace shocks with the lift I think. It doesn't seem to ride like it used to though.
