We THINK we installed the clutch the right way (it wasn't labeled, and we installed the race friction material side to the flywheel). I took the inspection cover off and immediately noticed that the fork is pressing against the back of the inside of the bellhousing, i.e., bottoming out as it is pressing the disc in. That really acts like the clutch disc is installed backwards, doesn't it? I am going to do some research and then call Fort Wayne Clutch in the morning and see if it is, indeed, a case of ignorance on my part... 'tis happened before. Thanks, y'all.
